DESCRIPTION:

This trip permits direct contact with nature through two of its most spectacular presentations: Volcanic eruptions and virgin jungles. Our ascent to the Pacaya Volcano will bring us within 100 meters of the active crater of the volcano. The Laguna de Petexbatún and its surroundings, exuberant vegetation, animal life and archaeological centers is one of the last paradises in the world. Regular departures every day of the year from 2 passengers.

Day 1 Guatemala City Airport-Antigua
Arrival at the Guatemala City airport and transfer to La Antigua. Lodging.

Day 2 Antigua
Breakfast. Free day to do an optional tour to pacific beaches. Lodging.

Day 3 Antigua-Chichicastenango
Breakfast. Departure to make a guided visit in ground transportation accompanied by a  guide, of the city, to know the cathedral, La Merced and San Francisco churches. Continue toward Chichicastenango.  Lodging.

Day 4 Chichicastenango-Lake Atitlán
Breakfast. The morning will be spent at the indigenous market that takes place every Thursday and Sunday. After the market we Hill continue toward Atitlan Lake. Lodging.

Day 5 Lake Atitlán-Santiago-Guatemala
Breakfast. A morning boat visit (Public boat) we will go to the Tzutuhil village of  Santiago. After returning to Panajachel we will be transported to Guatemala City. Lodging.

Day 6 Guatemala-Pacaya Volcano-Guatemala
Breakfast. We will travel in a vehicle to the very foot of the Pacaya Volcano. An easy climb will follow, after walking during and hour we will be 100 meters of the crater of one of the four active volcanoes in Guatemala. Lodging.

Day 7 Guatemala-Peten Area-Ceibal-Laguna Petexbatún
Breakfast. A morning  flight will take us to Petén Area and then we will travel by land to Sayaxché. At Sayaxché we will board a boat and navigate down the Passion River to visit the Ceibal ruins. We will continue down river to the Petexbatún Lagoon, a tropical paradise with hundreds of animal species an archaeological sites hidden in the jungle. Lunch and dinner. Lodging.

Day 8 Laguna Petexbatún-Aguateca-Peten Area
Breakfast. Boating on the lagoon and the Aguateca River. A thirty minute walk will take us to the Aguateca archaeological site. After the visit we will return to the camp for lunch. Return to Petén Area at sunset. Lodging.

Day 9 Petén Area-Tikal-Guatemala
Breakfast. We will visit the Mayan city of Tikal, undoubtedly the best example of classical Mayan culture. Picnic lunch in the park. Return to Petén Area to take the flight back to Guatemala. Lodging.

Day 10 Guatemala-Airport
Breakfast. Transfer to airport and end of our services.
