Day 1 Peten Area-Ceibal-Laguna de Petexbatún
Departure in land vehicles from Peten Area to Sayaxché on dirt roads, accompanied by a guide. A two hour trip will bring the traveler to boat in which they will navigate down Pasión river to Ceibal. Visit to the ruins. The trip continues toward, Petexbatún Lagoon, a tropical paradise with hundreds of animal species and archaeological sites hidden in the Jungle. Lunch and dinner. Lodging at the Posada Petexbatún.
Day 2 Laguna de Petexbatún-Aguateca-Peten Area
Breakfast. The Aguateca archeological site is reach navigating the Petexbatún lagoon and the Aguateca river. A twenty minute walk is necessary to reach the ruins. Return to camp for lunch and back to Peten Area. An additional day will give the traveler a chance to visit the Dos Pilas site. SERVICES INCLUDED:
